HOW IT ALL STARTED

Jill had been married for just two months when her husband, Joe, sustained deep partial-thickness (second-degree) burns over 40% of his body. Joe's traumatic experience, particularly the intense pain endured during repeated debridements performed with minimal pain management, profoundly shaped Jill’s career path toward burn anesthesia. Witnessing Joe undergo daily wound care procedures while awake and receiving minimal narcotic relief at a verified burn center underscored for Jill the critical importance of effective pain control in burn treatment.

Motivated by Joe’s experience, Jill has specialized in burn anesthesia since 2003. Her practice encompasses diverse clinical settings, including operating rooms, tub rooms, patient rooms, and laser treatment facilities. Jill is dedicated to customizing anesthesia to effectively minimize pain during dressing changes, surgical procedures, recovery periods, and laser therapy. Her work requires advanced pharmacological knowledge, constant vigilance, and innovative strategies tailored specifically to each patient's unique needs.
