HOW IT ALL STARTED

Jill had just been married for two months when her husband, Joe sustained second degree (deep partial thickness) burns to 40% of his body. Joe's traumatic experience with second-degree burns and the grueling debridement process without adequate pain management profoundly shaped Jill’s career in burn anesthesia. His ordeal, enduring daily scrubs awake with minimal narcotics at a verified burn center, highlighted the critical need for effective pain control in burn care. This inspired Jill to specialize in delivering anesthesia to burn patients since 2003, working in diverse settings like the operating room, tub room, patient rooms, and laser room. Her practice focuses on tailoring anesthesia to minimize pain during dressing changes, surgeries, recovery, and laser therapy, requiring pharmacological expertise, vigilance, and innovative approaches to meet individual patient needs.

Burn Anesthesia Resources LLC was created to educate all healthcare providers on all of the aspects of the delivery of burn anesthesia.
